Going against the fate¹
Hailan smiled bitterly, “I cannot be afraid.”
Linlang was taken aback, and after a while she said: “Hailan, I thought— I didn’t expect you to be this stupid.”
“Linlang, tell me… what is the butterfly effect and what does this have to do with seeing Qin Ge again?”
This kind of light and this kind of girl; in front of the seemingly illusory world, but when she breathed, Hailan realized that she was not afraid of her. The more Hailan listened the more she is shocked, but she knew it doesn’t make sense. She smiled bitterly and said, ”Time and history are irreversible, and even that does not belong in Chinese history. Perhaps the world does exist in another space-time, and our worlds just happened to overlap that’s why the Dongling tomb appeared here.”
Linlang looked up and stared out of the window.
“If I can send you to that time and space, and let you go back to Dongling’s thriving dynasty a thousand years ago and to the Dongling Emperor, would you dare to tamper with this piece of history and go against fate?”
Hailan jerked up and looked at Lin Lang in a daze. It’s unusual to not be shocked to the extreme.
“It’s just that Hailan, if the tomb of the Dongling Emperor is not in Dunhuang, why would the blue and white porcelain belonging to the tomb of the Dongling Emperor be excavated nearby with the Tang Tombs?”
Hailan didn’t speak, she walked to the window and looked at the starry sky outside the window; the stars had dyed the frost.
Under such starlight, the people seem to never change. Had this been a normal day, she will come out of the kitchen with a hot soup, and she will find him sitting by the table looking at her calmly.
She never knew what love was, because she never got it as a child.
As they said, If I love you, what business is it of yours?²
Finally, she closed her eyes and smiled, “If I can bring him back to life, I’m willing to go against fate.”

She turned around and said with a low smile: “It doesn’t matter. In end of the new butterfly effect Qin Ge and I will just be strangers.
If there is no emperor’s tomb, there will be no blue and white porcelain. Lin Yu would not need to experiment on the Heart Gu and will not leave Qin Ge.
On that day three years ago, Qin Ge would never go to a city A’s excavation site, and meet her through Lin Siwei.
Three years later, and he and she would be as if they were never… in love.
